Agenda

2014 MENAfrica Arbitration Conference

Trade and investment between Africa and the Middle East has grown exponentially over the last decade — Naturally, so has the number of cross-border disputes, many of which are preventable.  The conference is designed to inform
industry and legal professionals how best to mitigate risk and assure transactional success in commerce between these two highly dynamic and complex regions. Conference panels will address such topics such as negotiating contracts in post-conflict environments, arbitrating construction and infrastructure disputes, arbitration in the context of asset recovery, enforcement of arbitral awards and non-conventional arbitration mechanisms. In addition to providing excellent networking opportunities, the event offers participants a choice of highly practical, mini-courses: “Application of Scenario Planning to Arbitration”, & “A Primer on Banking and the Asset Recovery Process, with Applications to Arbitration”. Courses may be eligible for continuing-education credit. Course attendance is included in the conference registration, and may be subscribed independently of the conference (See Registration Options).
